Hi, I'm Carmen!  I have 38 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, am the creator of Dare To Be Healthy & Happy, and FitSouls  - an online health and wellness lifestyle program that helps women lose the physical, mental, and emotional weight to end their relentless battle with the scale, restore their confidence, and live their BEST life.  I hold certifications in wellness coaching, personal training, food psychology, and group fitness instruction - and am also a Beachbody Coach. My holistic approach to health & wellness creates a uniquely personalized and elevated experience for my clients.  Leveraging the tools of technology, I deliver life-changing transformations to ANY client, ANYwhere - serving women from all over the country!


As a wife, mother of three, and entrepreneur - I can relate to how easy it can be to allow our lives to own us versus us owning our lives.  The demands placed on our time and a perspective that we are the caregivers who must do and be for everyone else while putting ourselves on the back burner often leads to unhealthy habits that slowly, and surely start to chip away at our sense of personal well-being.  Think about this analogy though.  If someone you knew was stranded on the side of the road because their car ran out of gas, would you empty your gas tank for them so their tank would be full and yours empty?  No way!  Giving all your gas to help someone else doesn't solve the problem - it just creates a new problem - and when it comes to your health, leaving your tank empty manifests in carrying excess weight and other unwanted health issues.  As a survivor of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, I am reminded each and every day of the importance of creating and maintaining a lifestyle where I have BALANCE - because after all, how can you help others if your gas tank is always empty?

I am PASSIONATE about helping women find balance - to reclaim their lives and become the healthiest and happiest version of themselves. My program transcends the traditional focus on nutrition and exercise by working to also identify the areas of your life that are unbalanced like stress, sleep, water intake and even the strength of your spiritual/faith-based muscle.  It is an 8-pillar approach that has been proven to deliver LASTING results time and time again!
